There's a brand-new camp from Offshoot Productions, in conjunction with the Tyrone Recreation Department.
Drama Camp: The Cinderella Chronicles, with instructors Susan M. Steadman, Ph.D. and Paige Steadman, will meet July 20-24 (Monday-Friday), 1:00-4:15 p.m. Enrollment in the camp, which is designed for ages 7 to 15, is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Participants will learn important theatre techniques as they enjoy creating the characters--human, animal and fantastical--that populate Cinderella’s life as told through her magical diary. With an emphasis on character development and ensemble performance, the camp is suitable both for those with theatre experience and for newcomers to the stage. Campers should bring a mid-afternoon snack and beverage, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. There will be an informal performance at the end of the last class. The cost is $98.
