Pound Puppies and Other Strays in Grantville

Grantville resident MaryLeigh Preston-McClure has volunteered to support the efforts of city employee Joe Jones and the Humane Society with regard to lost and stray animals in the city.

The city of Grantville does not have a long term shelter for stray animals, so it is important for you to contact the city immediately if you have a lost pet in the area. Check with City Hall (770-583-2289) to determine if the pet has already been picked up, and to provide your contact information should the pet be found later. (Please note that city ordinances establish fees and other provisions regarding the return of collected pets to owners.)

Joe and Maryleigh would love to see more of our local strays adopted here in town, rather than taken to Coweta County's animal control facility, where they will be euthanized if not claimed or adopted promptly. Maryleigh is also collecting blankets and other items that will make the city's holding pen more comfortable.
