If you are as old and unhip as I am, you may have no idea that the beloved "air guitar" of our youth has been transformed into the incredibly popular series of Guitar Hero video games.
I have been educated by several young friends recently, having signed on as a community sponsor for Jammin' for Charity, a Guiter Hero contest hosted by Junction Lanes on Saturday, October 25 to benefit Cambridge House (adult day care center.)
Apparently, my life will be incomplete if I don't ever play Guitar Hero. That's a problem since I don't have a Playstation, Xbox or Wii game system. But perhaps you do! Or perhaps you have a friend who loves to play Guitar Hero I, II, or III. In which case you need to know that the grand prize of the contest is Guitar Hero World Tour (also known as Guitar Hero IV,) which is scheduled for release on October 26.
If you know anyone who enjoys Guitar Hero, please encourage them to register for Jammin' for Charity by October 24 (late registration fee applies after Oct 21).

Great idea, Kim, except for one slight problem -- the choice of Oct. 25 as the date. Don't they know that a really big benefit show (for Habitat Fof Humanity) is being held that same night PLUS that is also the date for the annual Newnan-Coweta Historical Society's Spirit Stroll, one of the biggest of all Newnan's events??
