Like everywhere else in the country, Grantville is likely to see record turnout at the polls on Tuesday. Keep in mind that our precinct was selected before the area's population explosion, and the voting line forms outside the building.
Once the post office is closed for the day, that parking lot will be available for use, but otherwise parking is very limited. If you live remotely within walking distance of city hall, walk!
Even if it is reasonably warm when you arrive, take a jacket with you in case the temperature drops while you're waiting! If you have to bring kids with you, it's imperative that they have a book or something else to keep them occupied. Otherwise they will get bored and drive you completely insane, and you'll end up voting for the wrong candidate!
Speaking of the line forming outside the building...you must be very clearly IN the line when the clock strikes 7 p.m. or you will not be permitted to vote. Be sure to allow plenty of time to find a place to park and make your way to wherever the end of the line is.
....And, this is especially important - memorize this number so you can call Nick's to order pizza for dinner: 770-583-2240. If you tell us the name and grade of your favorite Glanton Gator, 10% of your purchase will be donated to the Glanton School Media Center.
